News Values

Alistair Hetherington, the former editor of The Guardian used news values to set a criteria to determine which audience will read which article and what the article topics would be. He created 10 values:
1) Social Significance

2) Political Significance

3) Economic Significance

4) Human Significance

5) Drama

6) Suprise

7) Proximity

8) Personalities

9) Sex/Scandal/Crime

10) Numbers

I have created a table for my newspaper. It includes the articles that will be featured in my newspaper, who the target audience is, what news values are included and if an image will be included.
